Who You Are
A detail-oriented and experienced technical engineer. You know that data is gold, and you treat it as such. You want to keep it safe, know how much there is, where it came from, how to safely distribute it to those who need it, and when to use alchemy to enrich it further. As a team player, you know when to ask for help and when to lend it, too. Not in Bangkok? No worries, we’ll get you here!
What You’ll Do
As our product launches, our customer data will swell, thus necessitating proper infrastructure to store it. Expect large volumes of highly sensitive PII data, transactional, behavioral, and marketing data, as well as raw, unstructured, aggregated, or featurized data. Some will need to be regularly submitted to regulators, some will be used by our data science and credit team to train our models, while others will be used for monitoring business metrics, analytics, and reporting.
You’ll help us
- Design schemas and implement scalable ETL pipelines
- Manage data warehousing solutions
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to support analytics and model development
- Provide hands-on coding with the ability to outline solution design with coding best practices and perform code reviews
- Develop and manage data governance policies
- Ensure that implemented data systems have the relevant security
- Drive data quality adoption and usage across the company
- Ensure the highest level of data integrity
- Use data to discover tasks that can be automated
With These, You’re Likely to Succeed
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Versatility and eagerness to learn
- Experience building containerized workloads and pipelines as code
- Experience in infrastructure provisioning and configuration management as code - Terraform
- Experience building codebases, version-control code, and collaborate with other engineers
- Experience using Data Observability tools such as Monte Carlo
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster
- Experience designing highly scalable data storage - Data Warehouse, Data Lakes
- Experience in cost optimization and query performance tuning
- Expertise with cloud technologies - GCP, AWS, Azure
- Experience with big data tools - BigQuery, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
- Knowledge of data governance and privacy standards (GDPR / PDPA)
- Strong coding skills, especially in Python, SQL
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
Bonus Points
- Experience in data transformation tools such as DBT, KSQL
- Experience in Customer Data Platforms - Rudderstack
- Experience in experimentation platforms - Growthbook
- Experience in financial services, medical, or another highly privacy-controlled industry
- Fluency in Thai and/or Bahasa
- Experience with MLOps concepts and tools such as Kubeflow, MLFlow

- This position is based in our Bangkok office
- We prefer to collaborate in person and don’t offer remote work
- As an international team, English language proficiency is required
